We’re Jon, Alexandra, Ramsea, and Derek—four Midcoast Maine locals who couldn’t bear the thought of our favorite country store potentially disappearing when we saw it listed for sale. We pulled together as much funding as possible before turning to our community to help us get across the finish line, and ended up reaching our funding goal… because it takes a village! Now we are preserving Fernald’s as the community third space it has always been while adding our own passions. We celebrate village life by creating community space, highlighting local makers and farms, and running a business centered on values and grounded in principles.
